Fishing on Lake Havasu and the Colorado River is fantastic year round, with some seasonal differences in fishing locations and fish species targeted.
The spring summer and fall months are the best for fishing any of Lake Havasu’s targeted fish species including crappie, blue gill, redear sunfish, channel catfish, flathead catfish, trout, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, and the famous striped bass (stripers).
Striped bass, small mouth bass and large mouth bass are great catches year round including winter, with its milder temperatures. In the spring, the striped bass migrate up the Colorado River to spawn, so we follow them to the river at this time of year.
Lake Havasu has year round sunshine and warm temperatures, so the weather is never prohibitive. Any time of year is ideal for some really fantastic fishing in Lake Havasu.
